If Imus Needs To Step Down...What About Sharpton?
If Imus needs to step down, well what about, lets say, Sharpton:

You know I get sick and tired of hearing so called black leaders, wait a minute, self elected black leaders demand that someone be fired or step down for saying derogatory, insensitive or what they perceive are racist remarks. Last week after the Tennesee / Rutgers NCAA Womens Championship. Radio host and I guess shock jock, Don Imus, made remarks in regard to the Rutger's team. He along with his co-host, called the women, "nappy headed ho's." His co-host went a step further, and callled them "Jiggaboo's." Read More:

Now were the remarks uncalled for? Yes, Insensitive? yes. Racial, yes. Did he or his co-host have the right to say it? damn skippy. Just like a percentage of people who agreed with Tim Hardaway, when he said he hated gay people. Now the insults were wrong, but good luck in trying to get damages in a court room. That's why feminest/race ambulance chaser Gloria Allred, wanted to sit down with Michael Richards to get some type of damages when he went on his racial tirade after being heckled by black audience members.
But if Imus, Hardaway and Richards are to be banned, what about Al Sharpton? Here's a guy, who went on the talk show circuit, making a name for himself by claiming that Tawana Brawley was raped. And when that was found to be not true, Sharpton was sucessfully sued for defamation of character. Tawana Brawley not enough? what about the calls anti semetic remarks about Jews. Mel Gibson in a drunken stupor says something and he's ostracized for it. More recently, former NBA star, Michael Ray Richardson made remarks in which he thought were complimentary towards jews and he's out of a job.
It makes one wonder if John Gotti gave Al some tips on being made of teflon. Nothing sticks to this guy. Yet, Imus, Richards, Hardaway and Gibson has to get on both knees and beg Sharpton for forgiveness.
That's some bull.
