No Dammit!! It's Amnesty
The attached link is a prime example of why our elected officials just don't get it. A good example as to what the American people want in comparison to what special interest groups want. The American people regardless of what political affiliation has said and is saying that we don't want 12 to 20 million illegal aliens to get amnesty and a clear path to citizenship. Our elected officials has said and is saying that it isn't amnesty, but clearing a way for those millions of illegals to remain here and continue to working jobs that Americans wont' do, at those menial wages.
The article also points at a huge disconnect of the President and a few presidential wannabe's. These men are trying to get the vote of republican voters by trying to do what the democrats are doing. Keeping the focus on Iraq and the War on Terrorism, instead of talking about the number one issue of the american public. Illegal Immigration and how to stop the bleeding. Iraq and it's future is already covered. Talks of a cease fire have been completed between American Generals and members of the factions who are hellbent on destroying Iraq's democracy. Although no one has said it, but a timeline has been established as to when our troops will be pulling out and withdrawing from that region. So what's on the table? Economy? no. Healthcare? no. Education? Hell no! what about gas prices? no, well only whispers.
What's on the table is the issue of Illegal Immigration. And both parties better damn well address it and come up with a plan that doesn't feel and smell like amnesty.
