ACLU Loses in Supreme Ct., Justice Thomas Will Get the Blame.
The tragic case involving law enforcement officers ramming a high speed chase driver and causing the 19 year old driver to be paralyzed was heard and ruled upon by the Supreme Court.
The court in a 8 to 1 decision, ruled that the police is not liable, nor could they be sued for pursuing a high speed driver that cause injury. My opinion, good decision, I support it and wish that LAPD and Highway Patrol would have pushed OJ off the 405 Fwy in some deep ditch, but I won't go there.
The case in question is about a 19 year old named Victor Harris, who chose to have cop chase him in high rates of speed, and eventually causing him to be a quadriplegic. Harris and his family sued the police using the ACLU and won his case, in the lower courts. The police petitioned the circuit court, where the case sustained and eventually the matter was heard by the Supreme Court. The Court disagreed and overturned the verdict.
Now what will be lost in this whole thing is that Justice Clarence Thomas, who did not write the opinion, will get most of the criticism from Black America and liberal whites. Why? because Victor Harris was black and according to liberal so called black leaders, Thomas is the "tom-mest of all tom, King of all sell out, and hates himself voted to deny Harris millions of dollars for his actions. They, along with the ACLU, who under a different agenda wanted to the police to just "let the individual go," wanted to paint the law enforcement officers as a bunch of Roscoe and Enos 'necks who just want to play bumper cars and injure people, cause they won't stop, turn the engine off and show their drivers license.
Black leaders, agree with the above statement only to show that the guy in uniform, is a klan member in disquise and this includes black law enforcement officers.
Harris and his family is going to deal with his physical situation, deal with high medical bills and of course someone has got to take care of Harris. Of course, the monies they thought was rightfully awarded, won't be there, but justice is that Harris has got to deal with this his action, the way he wanted it....by himself.
