Different Entities...Same Responsibilities?

Three different entities are having similiar troubles. One, the NFL is having issues in regard to it's players having and playing with concussions. Next, the NFL is having issues in regard to it's former players having serious health issues after playing and today it's being discussed in Washington DC with congressional members to see if the NFL could do more and do right by it's former players.

Two, Major League Baseball is having problems with it's players using steroids or performance enhancing drugs. At this count one player who has admittedly used steroids and abused drugs is dead. Numerous of other players are now experiencing the downside of using steroids in the form of multiple injuries. Yet only one player is receiving the ridicule and ventriole of supposed pissed off fans for giving them back their sport that was heading to the white light after cancelling a world series due to strike. Players like Mark McGwire and Sammy Sosa put the league on their shoulders and like pied piper brought the fans back to see "Big Mac" knock one out the stadium. For almost 5 years baseball enjoyed the huge thunderous smack of the bat of these home run giants, until the sport was back in it's rightful place, tied with basketball. Only now and after allegations by another admitted steroid user, Jose Canseco, is baseball and it's fans looking to find Frankenstein and burn a sacrifice to the baseball gods. And like the NFL, congress has bidded to place the tax-payer's two cents into this matter.

Three, professional wrestling. Although it is purely entertainment and a male soap opera of sort. The physical entertainment giant has seen almost 60 of its members or colleagues die before the age of 50 of steroid related deaths. The WWE had two members die of steroid related deaths and possibly one suicide due to the effects of using steroids.

Each sport or entertainment have one thing in common. They refuse to offer help or assistance to it's members. Do they owe some type of responsibility to them if any? What about morally? Each athlete or performer experience injuries every time they hit the field or mat. Some experience life threatening and career ending injuries and are never heard from again.

I think each entity should without help or assistance from the gov't.
